FOR LONG-LASTING FAVORITE PARTS

A piece of clothing is valuable and uses resources from our environment. At LANA, we are committed to fair working conditions and sustainable production and hope that the efforts of our producers and employees will be passed on. You can ensure the longevity of your LANA products by taking a few small, careful steps. Here are a few tips from us:

GENTLE WASH CYCLE

Wash your clothes carefully and only as often as necessary, as not every item needs to be washed immediately after use. It's always advisable to use a laundry bag when washing delicate items like silk or wool. Reduce the temperature when washing clothes, and most importantly, turn your favorite items inside out beforehand to prevent color changes even after multiple washes.

WASH WITH LIKE COLORS

To prevent your clothes from discoloring, we recommend sorting your laundry into darks, coloreds, and whites before washing, and only washing with similar colors. Unfortunately, dyed fabrics continue to release color pigments into the water even after extended periods of time, which can cause unsightly discoloration of other colored laundry.

AIR DRYING

Air-drying saves energy and helps your favorite LANA yarn stay beautiful and, above all, last a long time. Avoid hanging it in the blazing sun in summer, and avoid extreme cold in winter. With wool products, make sure to gently stretch them into shape before drying and let them dry lying down.

IRON

The good news: proper folding can replace ironing for some products. But if that's not enough, pay special attention to the recommended temperature.

Another tip: sensitive materials such as TENCEL™, Lenzing EcoVero or silk should also be protected with a damp cloth.

STORE CORRECTLY

Especially LANA favorite knitwear doesn't like hanging on a hanger, as this can cause it to lose its shape. Therefore, knitwear should always be carefully folded and stored in the closet. Especially with woolen items, make sure to keep a lavender sachet or cedarwood nearby to protect them from clothes moths.

REPAIR AND CARE

What clothes value most is the love they receive from you. So, a small snag, a missing button, or a loose seam isn't a big deal! The odd minor flaw in a garment is completely normal after several wears and can usually be repaired with a few simple adjustments.

Pilling, the small knots on the surface of clothing, are particularly common in wool products and are difficult to prevent and can be dealt with using special lint shavers or a wool comb.
