FAIRNESS AND RESPECT ARE IMPORTANT TO US
SAID, DONE: We maintain long-standing, trusting relationships with our producers and corporate partners in Europe and Turkey. We pursue common goals and stand for a philosophy: fairness and respect for workers and the environment. This means that we work according to ecological and social principles and establish relationships that not only ensure a direct impact on local manufacturing and production, but also a mutual promise and even a guarantee that every item manufactured for LANA is produced under fair and safe conditions, that wages are paid that ensure a living wage, that discrimination and child labor have no place in our company, and that every individual is treated humanely. This is audited and certified annually.
This is the only way we can ensure that fairness, environmental friendliness and sustainability are reflected in every stitch of our LANA favorites.
OUT OF LOVE FOR NATURE & FOR A FAIR FASHION WORLD.

Our production sites and fabric suppliers are spread across Europe and Turkey.
THE MANUFACTURING PROCESS
The globally valid Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) certification not only ensures compliance with social standards throughout our entire production chain, but also requires compliance with environmental criteria.
In addition to the processes of textile surface extraction, this also includes textile finishing and dyeing. Due to the high chemical load involved in the production of petroleum-based, artificial fibers, we focus on natural materials and consciously avoid chemical treatments to optimize materials. Instead, we use mechanical-thermal treatments or plant-based enzymes, or rely directly on the natural advantages of the original fiber. In the dyeing process, we exclude chlorine bleaching and optical brighteners, use exclusively oxygen-based bleaching processes, and use only heavy metal- and AZO-free dyes to avoid skin irritation and contact allergies.
This is the only way we can ensure that fairness, environmental friendliness and sustainability are reflected in every stitch of our LANA favorites.
FINISHING OF FABRICS
Textile finishing is considered particularly critical. It consumes large amounts of non-renewable resources, and inadequate protective measures often put textile workers in direct skin contact with toxic dyes, auxiliary chemicals, and finishing chemicals. Therefore, we consciously avoid chemical finishing and finishing processes for material optimization. Instead , we use mechanical-thermal treatments, plant-based enzymes, and rely on the natural advantages of the original fiber.
DYEING AND PRINTING
Clothing is one of the consumer goods that comes closest to the consumer's skin. Therefore, it's all the more important that the materials are produced free of chemicals and harmful substances. Many skin irritations and contact allergies can be traced back to clothing. We exclude chlorine bleaching and optical brighteners from our dyeing process. The environmental impact and the stress on the fibers are also too high with conventional dyeing. Therefore, we exclusively use oxygen-based bleaching processes and only heavy metal- and AZO-free dyes.
