Tencel
TENCEL™ is a Lyocell fiber from Lenzing. The lyocell fiber is from wood, obtained from sustainably managed forests and therefore has a botanical origin . The production of the fiber itself is due to a closed cycle particularly environmentally friendly , as the solvent used has a Recovery rate of more than 99% The smooth fiber surface of TENCEL™ Lyocell fibers absorbs moisture better than cotton. This supports the body's natural thermoregulation mechanism, allowing the skin to feel warm and comfortable throughout the day and night. pleasantly cool and dry feels. Textiles made from TENCEL™ are absorbent as Cotton , gentler than silk.
Advantages: The production of the fiber uses much less water than cotton. The material's resources are obtained from wood from sustainably managed forests and are therefore of botanical origin and can be regrown.
Disadvantages: Fiber extraction cannot be carried out without chemicals, so the fiber is no longer untreated.
